January 10, 2026 – Hecla CEO, Rob Krcmarov’s interview on CNBC’s Closing Bell Overtime was a timely reminder that the precious metals narrative is splitting into two powerful forces: gold’s demand is increasingly central-bank led, while silver is becoming a supply-constrained market.

The part I keep coming back to is the implication: the world wants more critical metals exposure, but the timeline to build new supply through conventional development is long and the environmental and social license bar is rising.
This is exactly why I’m so focused on what I believe is one of the most underutilized opportunities in our sector: legacy tailings.
At EnviroGold Global, we’re working to help mine operators recover valuable metals from tailings while also reducing environmental footprint and long-term liability. It’s not “either/or” (production vs. responsibility). Done well, it can be “and”.
If you’re a mining company, investor, or operator thinking about where the next ounce comes from, let’s connect.
